09 May Franciscans in Pakistan share a Message of Peace with Governor of Punjab
On the 25th of April 2016, an Inter-Religious Peace Delegation in Lahore (Pakistan) met with the Governor of Punjab, Hon. Rafique Rajwana. Among the delegates were Franciscan Friars, Victor Sawera and Jamil Albert, who shared a message of peace by praying the Peace Prayer attributed to St. Francis of Assisi, and remembering victims of violence in Pakistan, and throughout the world.
The delegation requested the Governor to support voices of peace and tolerance in his province and in all of Pakistan. They also expressed their appreciation to the Governor for his efforts in promoting much needed inter-religious harmony.
