OFM General Postulation Promulgation of Decrees

The Holy Father Francis, receiving in private audience His Eminence Cardinal Angelo Amato SDB, prefect of the Congregation for the Causes of Saints, has recently authorized the publication of two decrees regarding Causes entrusted to the general Postulator:

This past Tuesday, May 5, 2015, the decree on the heroic virtues of Servant of God Antonio Antić, professed priest of the Order of Friars Minor; born in Prvić-Šepurine (Croatia) April 16, 1893 and died in Zagreb (Croatia) March 4, 1965;

Friday, June 5, 2015, the decree on the heroic virtues of Servant of God Marcello Labor, diocesan priest, belonging to the Third Order of St. Francis of Assisi, born in Trieste (Italy) 1’8 July 1890 and died there on September 29 1954;

In addition, May 5, 2015 the Holy Father approved the affirmative judgment of the Ordinary Session of Cardinals and Bishops members of the Congregation about the upcoming canonization of Blessed Junipero (Miguel José Serra in the world), professed priest of the Order of Friars Minor; Born in Petra (Spain) November 24, 1713 and died in Monterrey (United States of America) on August 28, 1784. The date of the canonization is scheduled for September 23, 2015 at the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington (USA).
