The House of the Child in Bethlehem and the fruits of a mission accomplished with love

The collection made in all the churches of the world on Good Friday, also called “Collection for the Holy Land,” was born to respond to the need to look for material aid in favors of the Holy Land.

The offerings collected by the parishes and the Bishops are sent by the Commissars of the Holy Land to the Custody of the Holy Land. These offerings are used for the maintenance of the Holy Places and the Christians of the Holy Land.

One of the fruits of this collection is the House of the Child in Bethlehem, a house that welcomes children with difficult family conditions. Founded in 2007, it has the special support of the Custody of the Holy Land through the American Franciscan Foundation for the Holy Land.  Check the video to learn more about this mission.

The Custody, thanks to the collect of the offerings is able to sustain and continue its important mission and vocation: to keep custody of the Holy Places, the stones of memory and preserve the Christian presence, the living stones of the Holy Land trough many solidarity activities.
