4th Sunday of Advent
This Christmas, let us walk as pilgrims of hope on the path of peace, together building a more welcoming common home for our sisters and brothers.
During the Holy Night of Christmas 2024, Pope Francis will open the Holy Door of the 2025 Jubilee Year to all pilgrims of hope. The world needs them greatly! And we too will be pilgrims towards Greccio, journeying with St Francis who, inspired by hope, made the ascent to the hermitage:
His highest aim, foremost desire, and greatest intention was to pay heed to the holy gospel in all things and through all things, to follow the teaching of our Lord Jesus Christ and to retrace His footsteps completely with all vigilance and all zeal, all the desire of his soul and all the fervour of his heart (1Cel 30: 84).
