Death of a Friar who was in service at the OFM General Curia

Br. Benet Fonck of the U.S.A. Province of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus died on Friday, December 23, 2016 at Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home in Joliet, Illinois. Br. Benet worked with the Secular Franciscans in various places in the United States. He then served in Rome from 1980-1985 at the OFM General Curia as the General Spiritual Assistant for the Secular Franciscan Order and also did work in writing the new constitutions of the Secular Franciscans. After his time in Rome, he returned to the United States and worked in various ministries. May he rest in peace.
