In one of the most touching narratives of the Resurrection, we are witnesses with Mary Magdalene to the events surrounding the death, burial and the mystery of the empty tomb (John 20: 1-18). It is she, and most probably a group of women who would also have been followers of Jesus, who rise early on the third day, “while it was still dark,” (v. 1), and go to visit the tomb.
