Dear Brothers and sisters,
The International Franciscan Community in Türkiye invites you for the formation for Interreligious and ecumenical dialogue program. This program was initiated by the Franciscan Order 19 years ago to continue in the spirit of St. Francis and consistent efforts of Pope Francis to promote peace and harmony among nations and religions, encouraging concerted efforts to resolve the global, social and ecological problems.
The year 2025 being the Jubilee year and the commemoration of 800 years of the Canticle of creatures of St. Francis. The 19th Formation Program for interreligious and ecumenical dialogue will take place on 12th – 25th October 2025 at the Friary of Santa Maria Draperis, Istanbul, Türkiye. This is a great opportunity to reflect, discus, and find ways to free ourselves from everything which enslaves and constrains our happiness, freedom and peace. Further to find ways by which we make common efforts to be responsible stewards of God’s creation.
This will be done through a process in which the experts will be invited to give input and we will have an opportunity to hear people sharing their experiences and the participants themselves visiting various places to gain experiences of interreligious and ecumenical dialogue. As only a limited number of the participants can avail this opportunity, your prompt response will be highly appreciated. We would be pleased to assist you in this process of formation for dialogue.
