“Let us continue to pray for peace, especially in the countries wounded by war: tormented Ukraine, Palestine, Israel, Lebanon, Myanmar, Sudan, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo”. With these words today, Pope Francis from the hospital has called us once again to prayer for peace and commitment to it.
The General Minister has also made an appeal to continue praying for peace: “I ask again all the friars and contemplative sisters and not only of the Order, together with all our lay people who share the charism and service to the Gospel, to pray unceasingly for peace and to remember our brothers and sisters who live especially in Ukraine, in the Middle East, in Eastern Congo, and in other places wounded by violence and war so that they may be signs of peace and reconciliation. Let us continue to ask for the gift of peace and dialogue!”.
