At this particular time when Pope Francis needs the spiritual support of the whole Church, the Franciscan family also joins in prayer for his health. In this spirit of fraternal communion, the Minister General together with the Definitory make an appeal to all members of the Franciscan family to continue to pray, We share with you the message:
"The Minister General with the Definitory, certain of the prayer that is rising to the Father of mercies for the health of the Holy Father, asks the Friars Minor, the Poor Clare and Conceptionist Sisters, the Franciscan sisters affiliated to the Order and the lay men and women of our family, to continue to pray for the health of Pope Francis.
We entrust it to the intercession of the Immaculate Virgin, of our father St. Francis, of St. Clare and of all the saints of our family, so that the Lord may preserve it in his Church and promote the unity of his people and peace in the world."
