"The cross of Jesus Christ continues to speak to each of us today as powerfully as it did to St. Paul and St. Francis. St. Paul makes clear that if we wish to become fully alive to ourselves, to others, and to God, then we must necessarily pass through the same experience as did our Lord and Saviour Jesus, through his suffering and death...."
