On the 29th of August, at the friary of St. Anthony in Pula (Croatia), nine candidates were received for the Postulancy: eight for the Province of Saints Cyril and Methodius (Zagreb) and one for the Custody of St. Jerome (Zadar).
The celebration was presided over by the Minister Provincial, Fr. Ivica Jagodić, OFM. In his homily, the Minister reminded the new postulants of the value of their vocation, which they must preserve and cultivate. After receiving them at the Postulancy, he gave each of them the sign of the Tau.
At the end of the celebration, the Secretary General for Formation and Studies, Fr. Darko Tepert, OFM, read the greeting sent by the Minister General, Br. Massimo Fusarelli, OFM, who emphasised that the objective of this period is "the conformation to the poor Christ to live the Gospel as brothers and minors, open to the mission", adding: "This is not a day of joy only for the Province and the Custody, but for the whole Order. In fact, you begin your formative journey in the Order of Friars Minor through your Entities. The Order welcomes and accompanies you, also from the perspective of the universal mission".
