The Secular Franciscan Order of Burkina Faso held its National Elective Chapter from the 19th to 21st September in Ouagadougou, at the "Sainte Famille Centre" in Saaba.
The Chapter was presided over by the Presidency Councilor for French-speaking Africa, Adolph Atsu Assagba, OFS, Delegate of the Minister General, Tibor Kauser, OFS; the Conference of General Spiritual Assistants was represented by their delegate, Br. Julien Campaore, OFMCap.
The Capitulars elected Alida Siguian Kabore-Sawadogo, OFS as National Minister and as International Councilor for the next three years.
The OFS in Burkina Faso is still a small reality, which is canonically described as a "presence", but its members are very committed and zealous in living their Franciscan charism: there is a lot of optimism about the future!
