The National Elective Chapter of Malawi was held at Likuni Parish from August 7 to 10, 2025. International Councilor Emerenciana Chinyama, OFS, presided over the Elective Chapter, while the Conference of General Spiritual Assistants was represented by its delegate, Br. Francis Sagwirika, OFMCap. Tereza Mukatipa was elected National Minister and Tobias Shaba International Councilor.
The participants reported that the Chapter celebrations went very well, and everyone was satisfied with the outcome of the elections.
On August 16 and 17, 2025, the National Fraternity of the OFS in Paraguay held its National Elective Chapter at the “Casa de Retiros Oásis Franciscano”. The capitulars elected Mirta Ferreira as National Minister and International Councilor. This is the first time a woman has been elected National Minister; she will lead the OFS in Paraguay for the next three years.
