From the15th-25th September, 2025, the friars of the Franciscan Province of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary of the Río de La Plata, present in Argentina and Paraguay, celebrated the Elective Provincial Chapter in San Antonio de Arredondo, province of Córdoba – Argentina.
The Chapter was inspired by the motto "Enlightened by hope, let us serve and adore the Lord God, with a clean heart and a pure mind", and the cross-cutting themes were care, interculturality and synodality. The participation of ten lay men and women and two nuns, in the first moment, who contributed their view from their state of life, stands out.
In a second moment, the friars elected the new Provincial Government, which was formed as follows:

In a third moment, the friars reflected on and voted on the 2026-2028 Guidelines, which will mark the Life and Mission of the friars.
