Solemn Profession in the Province of St. Michael the Archangel, Indonesia

The Franciscan Province of St. Michael the Archangel, Indonesia, celebrated with deep joy and gratitude to the Lord the Solemn Profession of nine friars; Br. Bonakius Jebarus, OFM, Br. Yusuf Raditya Prima Rahadi, OFM. Br. Stefanus Fandrosel Nadut, OFM, Br. Paulus Yanuario Musrilan, OFM, Br. Felisian Novendro Ambal, OFM, Br. Marianus Harianto Leto, OFM, Br. Trivosa Kurniawan Gunardo, OFM, Br. Hedwig Oktavian Rajahali Ama Ruing, OFM, Br. Yubiliano Bonaventura Nabu Pandu, OFM. 

The celebration took place on Saturday, 15 August 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in the Parish Church of St. Paschal, in the city of Jakarta. The Eucharistic Celebration was presided over by the Provincial Minister, Br. Agustinus Laurentius Nggame, OFM, and concelebrated by four friars, Br. Hieronimus Dei Rupa, OFM, Br. Michael Peruhe, OFM, Br. Thobias Harman, OFM, and Br. Kristian Emanuel Stefan, OFM, in an atmosphere of joy and fraternity. 

Friars from different fraternities of the Province, members of the Franciscan Family, sisters, committed lay people and parishioners participated in this significant moment, joyfully joining in this event of grace. During the celebration, the nine young friars publicly professed their perpetual vows of obedience, poverty and chastity, committing themselves definitively to live the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ according to the way of life of St. Francis of Assisi, in the service of God, the Church and those most in need. 

The Solemn Profession of the nine friars is a source of hope for our Province and also for our Order which continues its evangelizing mission in Indonesia and the other countries. These nine brothers chose the motto, "I have called you friends (John 15:15)," and they committed themselves to being friends of Christ in their preaching and mission in the world. So, we entrust the life and vocation of those friars to the intercession of St. Francis of Assisi, asking the Lord to sustain them with His grace so that they may persevere faithfully in the vocation and the mission.
