On July 5, 2023, the General Definitory of the Order, meeting in Rome, has appointed the Definitory for the future Our Lady of Guadalupe Province in the United States. It was announced on 7 July by Br Caoimhín Ó Laoide, General Delegate of the Minister General.
The new government is composed of Br Lawrence Hayes, Provincial Minister, and Br Mark Soehner, Vicar Provincial. The following were appointed to the office of Provincial Definitors: Br. John Eaton, Br. Edward Tlucek, Br. José Rodriguez, Br. Erick Lopez, Br. Rommel Perez Flores, Br. Roger Lopez and Br. Samuel Nasada.
Our Lady of Guadalupe Province, which will be officially erected on 17th October 2023, will be the result of the merger of five American provinces: Holy Name Province, Sacred Heart Province, Assumption Province, Our Lady of Guadalupe Province and Saint John the Baptist Province.
