Assembly of the Poor Clare Sisters of French-speaking Africa

On the 16th November, 2025, the Assembly of the Solofo Kamuti Federation of the Poor Clare Sisters of French-speaking Africa, meeting in the monastery of Our Lady of the Angels in Libreville, Gabon, elected the new Federal Council under the chairmanship of Assistant Br. Peter Williams, OFM. 

The following were elected:

• Sr. Elisabeth Lubuya, of the monastery of Lomé (Togo), Federal President;
• Sr. Marie Elisabeth Kalenga Kapinga, of the monastery of Djiri (Congo Brazzaville), first Councilor;
• Sr. Claire Kabuya, of the monastery of Kabinda (Democratic Republic of Congo), second Councilor;
• Sr. Claire of Jesus of the Monastery of Libreville (Gabon), third Councilor;
• Sr. Myriam of the Monastery of Antananarivo (Madagascar), fourth Councilor.
• Sr. Marie de Jésus di Libreville (Gabon), Economa federale.
