Br Leornard Bielecki is the new provincial of the Province of St Francis in Poland

The Province of St. Francis of Assisi in Poznan, Poland, gathered in Chapter today, 26 May 2022, elected Br Leonard Bielecki as new Provincial and Br Franciszek Chodkowski as Vicar Provincial. The Provincial Definitory is composed of: Br Ernest Siekierka, Br Joel Kokott, Br Hieronim Stypa, Br Kordian Szwarc and Br Justyn Berus. Br Leornard was born in Włocławek, took his First Vows in 2000, his Solemn Vows in 2004 and was ordained a priest on 20 May 2006. In the province, he held the positions of Academic PLUS and Post-Academic PLUS Youth Ministry in Poznań, lecturer in homiletics and theory of communication at the Franciscan Major Seminary in Wronki. The Chapter, which began on 23 May, ends on Friday 27 and is presided over by Br Gwidon Hensel, Visitator General of the Province of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Poland.
