Holy Father popePope Francis has appointed Br. Mladen Vukšić OFM, member of our Province of the Assumption of the BVM, until now parish priest of the Parish of the Immaculate Conception of the BVM in Posušje (Bosnia and Herzegovina), as bishop of the Diocese of Kotor, Montenegro.
Br. Mladen is born on December 28th, 1965, in Ljubuški. He vested Franciscan habit on July 14th, 1984, in Humac, where he also made his first religious profession on July 15th, 1990. He completed his philosophical and theological studies in Makarska (Croatia) and in Bologna (Italy). He professed his solemn vows on September 16th, 1990, in Kočerin. He was ordained deacon on June 26th 1991, and received priestly ordination on July 26th 1992, in Čitluk. He received a licentiate in catechesis at the Pontifical Salesian University.
In the Province he has held the following offices: vice-master of novices, master of the friars in initial formation, Definitor Provincial, Guardian, assistant of the Franciscan Youth and Secular Franciscan Order, assistant pastor and parish priest.
