Continental Congress of the Formators of Western Europe and of the Holy Land

The Continental Congress of the Formators of Western Europe and of the Holy Land took place at Villa S. Cuore in Triuggio (Milan), from 23 to 29 September 2018. At this fourth Continental Congress there were 70 Formators coming from the Conferences: COMPI, CONFRES, COTAF and HOLY LAND. The Congress began its work with the festive Eucharistic celebration presided by Br. Mario Favretto, Minister Provincial of the host Province, St. Anthony of the Friars Minor of Northern Italy. After a week of intense work, the gathering concluded with a brief final document, oriented above all to give practical indications for future work at the level of the aforementioned Conferences. The proposed reports, which guided the discussions during the days of work, animated the efforts of all the participants while they tried together to further deepen the understanding of the meaning of accompaniment for Franciscan life in the context of Ongoing formation, of the role and formation of guardians, and in the context of vocational animation.
