II Congress of Lay Brothers

From the 21st to 23rd May, in Teolcelo, Veracruz (Mexico), the Interprovincial Meeting on St Paschal Baylon was held, within which the Lay Brothers of the six Provinces that make up the Conference met to form themselves, share experiences and live together. 

Almost 70 Brothers reflected on the Christological configuration of St. Francis starting from the stigmata, on the mission of the Lay Brother today, on the spirituality of St. Paschal Baylon and on the figure of Br. Pedro de Gante. 

This meeting took place in the framework of the celebration of the 500th anniversary of the arrival of the Gospel and of the Franciscan Friars in Mexico and the 800th anniversary of the Impression of the stigmata on our Father St. Francis.
