Solemnity of the Transfiguration of the Lord
Dear Sisters, loved in the Lord,
may the Lord give you peace!
I reach out to you again on the solemnity of your Holy Mother, in a year marked by unique celebrations: the 800th anniversary of the Blessed Transitus of our Father Saint Francis, the 100th anniversary of the beatification (1926), and the 50th anniversary of the canonization (October 3, 1976) of Saint Beatrice da Silva Meneses. It is no coincidence that the latter was celebrated on the very day of the Transitus: it is as if Providence wished to seal the bond between the Father's paschal passing and the recognition of your Mother's holiness.
In this coincidence, we can see an invitation to look together at Francis and Beatrice, seeking in their encounter a light for your lives today.
