From October 9 to 14, 2025, a meeting of the OFM Commission for Prayer and Devotion was held at the Hermitage of the Immaculate Conception in El Palancar, Spain. This beautiful and peaceful Franciscan monastery, founded by St. Peter of Alcantara, boasts a welcoming community and an intense prayer life.
During the meeting, the document “Listen and You Will Live” was examined, with the intention of preparing, together with the brothers currently living in our hermitages, a second edition of the document that will contain references to concrete hermitage experiences.
During the meeting, a draft of the Commission’s statute was also developed, and several proposals for future meetings
