“We should always have a group of us who are willing to leave home and comfort to embrace a Franciscan life which is centered first and foremost on the spirit of prayer and devotion, making life in fraternity their hallmark. Such men offer an important witness to the world by living in simple structures, truly present among the poor,” writes Br. Massimo Fusarelli in his Letter to all the friars of the Order. The Minister General thus describes the New Forms of Franciscan life and evangelization.
With this appeal, we invite all the friars of Europe who are already living, or who are simply interested in these “new forms”, to the meeting to be held November 23-27, 2025, in Pupping, Austria. This friary was also born as a new form of life, inspired by prayer, simplicity and hospitality.
Present with us will be Minister General and Minister Provincial from Austria, Br. Fritz Wenigwieser. Together we will share the life experience of Pupping, reflect on how to live these new forms today, and explore the future prospects of the “new forms”.
The meeting is meant to be an opportunity to be inspired, renewing in joy our journey and the life of our fraternities. More detailed information about the program will be sent to the Ministers.
