Notice of the Death of Br. Anselm Moons, OFM

Br. Anselm Moons, OFM, a member of the Holy Martyrs of Gorcum Province died on November 13th 2016 in Warmond, the Netherlands, at the age of 92. Born Wilhelmus Andreas Moons, he was a Professed friar for 74 years and a priest for 67 years, during which time he was a missionary in Pakistan where he served as Provincial Minister, and as the first Rector of Christ the King Seminary. In 1979, Anselm was elected General Definitor for Asia. In 1985, Anselm founded the Franciscan Mission Service in Silver Spring, Washington, DC (USA), retiring in 1995 and then returning to the Netherlands. The Minister General, on behalf of the General Definitory and all the Brothers of the Order, expressed his sadness at the loss of Br. Anselm.
