Notice of the Death of Br. John Vaughn, Former Minister General

Br. John Vaughn, OFM (born in 1928) was the 116th General Minister of the Order and served in this role from 1979 to 1991, after which he returned to his Province in California and formed many friars as Novice Master of the St. Barbara Province. In recent years he had been in failing health, but continued to be an inspiration and spiritual father to many. He passed away in Santa Barbara, California early in the morning of October 10th.
