From the 30th of June to 12th July the preparation for solemn vows in the North Slavic Conference (SLAN) of the Order of Friars Minor took place in the city of Duszniki-Zdrój, in Poland. This year seven brothers coming from the following OFM Provinces participated: The Province of Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Kalwaria Zebrzydowska), The Province of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Katowice-Panewniki) and the Province of St. Francis of Assis (Poznań), in Poland, and the friars from the Byzantine Foundation of all the Saints of the Seraphic Order in Ukraine.
The days were characterized by common prayer, Eucharistic celebration, the liturgy of the hours, adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, various activities and conferences.
Different themes were treated such as: Human Formation, Communication, Mental and spiritual health of the consecrated persons, Safeguarding and protection of the Minor and Vulnerable Adults, Pastoral work with the Children and the Youth, Religious consecrated both in legal and theological perspective, Human maturity, Pastoral and Franciscan accompaniment for the Secular Franciscans, Missionary activities and assistance to the Poor and the Immigrants.
The content on preparation for solemn vows insisted on the importance of encountering the other with his experience of life. As Friars Minor coming from various Provinces of the world. The friars managed to know each other and live as a fraternity, a fundamental dimension of our charism as Franciscan Religious.
