Resignation of Br. Lóránt Orosz, OFM

On 14th March 2017, Br. Lóránt Orosz, elected Definitor General of the Order at the General Chapter of 2015, presented his resignation from his offices of Definitor and Procurator General. After discussing the matter with Br. Lóránt, and after receiving the consent of the General Definitory in accordance with Art. 138 §3 of the General Statutes, I accepted his resignation. He has now returned to his Province in Hungary. On behalf of the General Definitory, I wish to thank Br. Lóránt for the generous and diligent contribution he made to the government of the Order as Definitor General and as Procurator, and I pray God’s blessing on him, on his future life and ministry and on all the brothers of the Province of Magna Domina Hungarorum. In the coming months, the process will begin to find a replacement for Br. Lóránt in his role as Definitor. 30th March 2017
