The Pontifical University Antonianum’s School of Philosophypaid tribute to Prof. José Antonio Merino on May 5, 2016 for his long years of service to the School and the University, presenting the Festschrift on Franciscanism in Today’s World: Francescanesimo e mondo attuale: stile di vita francescana. Omaggio dell'Università al Prof. José Antonio Abad. The academic event – moderated by Br. Agustín Hernández, Vice Rector of the PUA – was introduced by the Rector of the PUA, Prof. Sr. Mary Melon. It continued with speeches by: Br. Julio Cesar Bunader, general Vicar of the OFM and Vice Chancellor of the Pontifical Antonianum University; Br. Francisco Martínez Fresneda, of the theological Institute of Murcia; Br. Cesar Vaiani, general Secretary for Formation and Studies; Br. Manuel Blanco, of the Pontifical University Antonianum.
