The Appendix of the Ratio Formationis Franciscanæ on the theme of "Safeguarding in Ongoing and Initial Formation" in the Order of Friars Minor has been published.
This document, released by the General Secretariat for Training and Studies and the Office for the Safeguarding of Minors and Vulnerable Adults, is part of the broader framework of the Order's initiatives in favour of the safeguarding of minors and vulnerable adults.
In accordance with Mandate No. 9 of the 2021 General Chapter, the OFM over the years has provided for the creation of an International Commission for the Safeguarding, to draw up a Manual and today to draw up an appendix of the Ratio Formationis that helps the Friars Minor, formators and educators, to "live the charism of minority expressed in the Safeguarding, renouncing any kind of abuse of power over others".
