Study Day at the PUA

On April 28, 2015, a Study Day was held at the Auditorium Antonianum of the Pontifical University Antonianum on “Women in the Church. Perspectives in dialogue”. It was introduced by the Ambassadress of Chile to the Holy See. The day was marked by the words of greeting from the Rector, Sr. Mary Melone, who, besides indicating the origin and purpose of this day concluded with the reading of the telegram sent for the occasion by Pope Francis. It was also marked by the words of Card. Gianfranco Ravasi, which were not limited to the words of greeting, but also indicated we are standing on a threshold, He shared some of his personal perspectives. He was followed by a presentation by Prof. Cettina Militello, who developed the theme: "Women in the Church: models of the past, today's challenges." A Roundtable discussion concluded the morning. In it were offered 'testimonies, challenges and prospects from Africa, Latin America, Asia, the United States of America and the European Union. In the afternoon there was a workshop and Ms. Mónica Jiménez de la Jara drew the day to conclusion.
