The Beginning of the 8th Centenary of the Portiuncula Indulgence

The 8th centenary of the Pardon of Assisi (the Portiuncula Indulgence) has begun. Br. Raniero Cantalamessa, OFMCap, led a Triduum in preparation for the feast from 29th to 31st July, and on August 1st Br. Michael A. Perry presided at morning Mass to open the celebration of the feast. in the afternoon, the pilgrims of the Franciscan March were welcomed to the Portiuncula. On August 2nd Card. Gualtiero Bassetti presided at the Solemn Mass which launched the 8th Centenary of the Pardon of Assisi.
