The Custody of the Sacred Heart in Brazil elects Custos

The Friars of the Franciscan Custody of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Brazil, gathered in Chapter at Brodowsk, Sao Paulo, from November 22-26, 2021, re-elected Br Fernando Aparecido dos Santos to the office of Custos. Br Valmir Ramos was elected Vicar, and for the office of Councillors, Br José Aécio de Oliveira Filho, Br Sérgio Ferreira Cintra, Br Lucas Lisi Rodrigues and Br Valdemir Nelo Rufino were elected. Br Fernando was born in Ituverava/Sao Paulo. He made his first vows in 1993, solemn vows in 1997 and was ordained a priest on 2 February 2001 in Ituverava. He has been Custos, Councillor, Vocations Promoter, Secretary for Missions and Evangelisation and Parish Priest.
