Upcoming historic move of the San Damiano Crucifix

The famous icon of the San Damiano Crucifix, which has become popular around the world, will leave the basilica of Santa Chiara in Assisi, where it has been guarded since the Poor Clares moved there after the death of St. Clare. It will got to the place where it was seen by Francis of Assisi and in front of which he prayed at the beginning of his conversion and from which he received the mandate "go and repair my house which as you can see falling into ruins."
