Office of the Bursar General

About us

The Office of the Bursar General, under the direction and dependence of the Minister General, has the task of administering the goods and contributions that, for the benefit of the entire Order, are destined for the expenses of the offices of the General Curia and of the Houses dependent on the Minister General, to support the needs of the Provinces and of the indigent Custodies and to the initiatives of the General Definitory.

The tasks of the Office of the Bursar General are:

• to take care of the correct administration of the temporal goods of the Order, in accordance with universal and proper law;
• to present each year to the General Definitory the budget estimate of income and expenditure for the following year and, after approval, to ensure its implementation;
• to present to the Definitory the statement of income and expenditure for the previous year.
