PCO 2025

About us

The Plenary Council of the Order (PCO) will be held in Assisi from 8 to 12 June 2025. 
It is no coincidence that it will take place immediately after the end of the Chapter of Mats (CoM, 2-8 June): since the CoM hasn’t got a legal structure, the General Definitory decided that the members of the PCO 2025 would all be friars “coming” from the CoM, in order to bring its indications and proposals directly to the PCO, in which topics are proposed for discussion at the General Chapter. 
In fact, after the approval of the Regulations and listening to the Minister General, the first step of the PCO will be to approve the text of the Final Document of the CoM as a proposal for the General Chapter of 2027. 
It is legally regulated by the General Constitutions and the General Statutes of the Order.
