About us
Through the Office for Nuns and Franciscan Institutes, the Order offers a service to the Contemplative Life that lives the Franciscan charism. It is based on Francis' promise to Clare to take care of the Sisters who are spiritually or juridically linked to the Order (such as the Order of the Poor Sisters of Saint Clare, the Order of the Immaculate Conception and other similar Institutes).

The tasks of the Pro Monialibus Office are:
- to act on behalf of the Minister General before the Congregation for Consecrated Life in all that refers to the renewal of the Franciscan contemplative life and the approval of the Constitutions;
- to offer opportunities and tools for the spiritual animation of the Franciscan contemplative life in connection and collaboration with the Federations;
- to establish a link between the Order and the Franciscan contemplative life, creating fraternal relationships;
- to offer the service of spiritual counselor and guidance through letters, visits, conferences, comments, edition of the magazine Communion and Communication, participation in the Assemblies of the Federations and Confederations of the Monasteries;
- to animate and accompany, at a general level, the process of human and spiritual formation of the contemplative life, with the support of the General Government and the Entities of the Order and in direct collaboration with the interested parties, the Federations and the Assistants;
- to collaborate with the Congregation for Consecrated Life in the formation of the Federal Assistants, appointed by the same;
- to help the Monasteries in their spiritual journey and in the solution of legal and administrative problems;
- to take care of the conservation of the Archives, the elaboration of Directors and the Vademecum of the Contemplative Life.

COMMUNION AND COMMUNICATIONS
THE BULLETIN OF THE OFFICE FOR NUNS (PRO-MONIALIBUS)
The initials “cTc” stand for communion and communication. They were intended as an invitation to collaboration and dialogue between Poor Clare Sisters in various parts of the world. Fr. Dario Pili wished that the cTc could come “immediately from the hands of the nuns attached to the Pro Monialibus Office”.
The editorial team is formed by the OFM General Delegate of the Office of “Pro-Monialibus” and the Secretariat which is based in the Monastero Santa Chiara, Cortona (Arezzo, Italy) at present. Poor Clare Sisters and Friars Minor from all the continents collaborate with articles, reflections, news and translations.
